The BenQ GP520 4K projector is a worthy option for casual home entertainment use, thanks to an easy setup routine and decent picture quality straight out of the box.

The BenQ GP520 offers a winning combination of brightness and a sharp 4K picture, all packed into a compact box with a modest price tag. There’s room for improvement, but the value is excellent.

The BenQ GP520 really impressed me. The image is very clean, with good sharpness and faithful colourimetry. Brightness is well calibrated, sufficient even in a room that's not completely pitch black. Audio-wise, the built-in speakers do the job well for casual use. As for installation, there's nothing to complain about: plug & play, fluid interface, effective auto focus and auto keystone. If I really had to point out one detail, the blacks lack a little depth. Excellent value for money.
