I bought this one to replace my Optoma HD131Xe I had purchased back in 2014. The old one is still working fine, but I was looking to upgrade based on the improved brightness of the newer model. The HD146X has a beautiful, sharp, and bright picture that I project onto a large wall. The brighter picture is especially appreciated when watching 3D movies. I'm very happy with the purchase. My only small complaint is that there is only one HDMI input where the previous models had two. The included speaker is a nice convenience, but you can also connect to a sound bar for greater range. All in all, well worth the investment for the upgrade.

This projector has an excellent picture and very bright! So far my 3D movies look fantastic and gaming is good too via XBOX One S!! I am projecting it on my beige colored wall for a 90" viewing! The speakers are pretty weak which was expected but the big problem I have is the lack of 2 HDMI inputs since only has 1! Not sure why the dropped it since the earlier HD14X model has two! I will just have to get a soundbar with multiple hdmi inputs! Also not lens cap is peculiar but not really an issue but weird. Very happy overall though! Use 3DHeaven glasses only if watching in 3D since they are really good!

To be honest this is a great projector in terms of quality of picture...I screen share onto here play video games on here and watch movies on here...quality of picture is spectacular... Downside...I’ve had it for roughly 3 months now and got flickering and it then shuts off on its own after the flickering. This is the first projector I’ve bought that had issues so early most of my other projectors have been running for 3-4 years no problem...and it’s loud compared to most other projectors. I’m dealing with optomas side because I’m a month out of Amazon’s warranty...(surprise surprise issues come right after the warranty period lol) so wish me luck... Idk toss up maybe I got a bad one who knows wish yall the best though
